Candida

Today I would like to share something very personal with you guys. I also hope I can help other people by sharing?
I have been suffering for many years with stress, dizziness, anxiety, mood swings, hormonal unbalance, pain in my back, hands and the list goes on…
I have been scanned and seen many specialist – but without any positive results. Then 3 months ago a friend was talking about Candida and I did a test and found out that I had an extreme over-growth of candida yeast infection in my body. Unfortunately the only way to combat candida over-growth is by starving it. So I had to completely change my diet.
No sugar
No fruit
No flour
No alcohol
No yeast
No dairy
No carbohydrates
No red meat…and the list goes on.
And now 3 months later I am so happy and I feel great. I am candida free and my symptoms are gone.
For the first time in 3 months I am adding one green able to my daily green juice.
Life is truly great! Thank you!

What kind of protocol exactly did you follow? Any antifungals? What exactly was your diet? Any avocado , lemon or coconut? I’m on a gut healing protocol, can’t handle nuts or seeds, have been very low carb and haven’t been eating anything you mentioned above…just curious what else is on the list! Would greatly appreciate it as I tackle my candida! 🙂

    • Dear Lindsey,

Thank you for your comment! I was on a strict diet for 90 days but continued for about 6 month.

I did not eat anything with sugars, that means also fruit except for lemon, lime, coconut and avocado.
No alkohol, coffee and black tea.
No carbohydrates, yeast and flour, meaning no bread, pasta and rice. You can have a little bit of buckwheat and quinoa.
You can eat all vegetables except from potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, mushrooms, sweet corn, peas and beetroot.
No dairy products except kefir which is a good help for getting your gut back in balance.

Coconut oil, olive oil, garlic, ginger, seaweed, lemon, lime and rutabaga (vegetable) are all great natural products that helps kill the candida.

I can see that it’s a bit difficult when you can’t eat seeds and nuts because they are felling and you can make nice bread from it.

I have started a group on Facebook called Candida-free where people can share recipes based on a candida diet. I will also start to put recipes on this site.

I also took grapefruit seed extract from Bach which was a great help.

I am now candida free and feel great and if you have any other questions then please ask. I hope that this could be of some help!

      Kind regards

      Tanja
